Print Day in May

I participated in Print Day in May, a world wide celebration of printmakers around the world. Print Day in May is an annual happening, taking place on the first Saturday in May, this year in May 7th.

The print I made during the day in linocut was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ by Essdee and I received a prize for Essdee art supplies!

PRINT 2021, Process Exhibition in Ahjo 3.-22.12.2021

PRINT2021 Prosessi exhibition can be seen in Art Centre Ahjo, Joensuu. Näyttely on Print-ryhmän toteuttama. Print- artgroup by North Karelian printmakers Anna Arminen, Kaisa Jussila, Tuomas Kettunen, Riikka Mattinen, Marja Purto, Pirjo Repo, Miia Rosenius, Pia Sinkkonen, Leila Tanskanen, Anu Torikka ja Johanna Turunen. As a community Artist for the City of Joensuu

I got to an interesting job as a Community Artist for the City of Joensuu!

As a Community Artist with Cultural Services by the City of Joensuu I made community art with elderly people and people living in the country side areas of Joensuu. The starting point for my projects was 15x15 cm size.

Art work at Selkie skating ramp

Art work at Selkie skating ramp. Artists Laura Melkinen and Miia Rosenius painted the other side of the ramp in 2020 and a community art workshop in street art was held as part of the Regional Day of North Karelia. In summer 2021 the artists painted also the other side giving the ramp the final touch as an environmental art work.
